I don't usually send things like this! BUT... (call to action)

Hey loves-

I care about standing up for farmers, animals, and standing against government tyranny.

The CFIA is kind of out of control. If you have been following the story of the 400 Ostriches in Edgewood, BC... It's wild!

I am hoping we can make change with our UNITY.

Maybe you know about this situation, maybe you don't... But- I care about this a lot.

Please take a moment to sign- whether you are in Canada or not.

(2 petitions for you- please sign!)

I LOVE YOU!

Thank you!

>> PETITION FOR THE OSTRICHES

Whereas:

  • The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) ordered the destruction of Universal Ostrich Farm's healthy research flock without independent confirmatory testing, despite no clinical signs of disease for months (over 10 months!!);
  • CFIA's custody of these birds has raised serious animal welfare concerns, with witnesses reporting dehydration, injuries, and inadequate care for these large ratites;
  • Section 48(2) of the Health of Animals Act requires meaningful consideration of treatment and alternatives before destruction, a requirement that appears unmet in this case;
  • This operation appears to consume significant public resources daily for security and logistics, without transparent oversight or justification; and
  • The Supreme Court of Canada has issued an interim stay, recognizing the merit of concerns raised.

Another thing we should be aware of:

Petition closes on October 5th! >>

The CFIA is proposing changes to Canada’s Plant Breeders’ Rights regulations that would strip away Farmers’ Privilege for fruits, vegetables, ornamentals, and hybrid varieties.

The key points:

• The government is proposing changes to Plant Breeders’ Rights regulations that would remove “Farmers’ Privilege” — the right to save and reuse certain seeds.

• If passed, farmers would be forced to buy new seed and pay royalties every year for many fruit, vegetable, hybrid, and ornamental varieties.

• This change would undermine farmers’ ability to adapt their crops to climate change and threatens Canada’s food security.

• Farmers have saved seed for generations — it’s one of the oldest and most effective tools to build climate resilience.

Deadline to sign: October 5, 2025, at 1:30 p.m. (PDT)
